Francesco Mascio, Italian guitarist and composer, was born in Cassino (Italy) in 1981. He has a multi-year career to his credit with a four-digit number of concerts both in Italy, from Turin to Caltanissetta, passing through Milan, Bologna, Rome, Cosenza, Naples, and abroad in Europe and in the United States. Numerous albums including "Europa Jazz Quartet" (2012), "Mantras for a New Era" (2013), "Ganga's Spirit" (2015), "Jaggae" (2017) which led him to play at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, "Wu Way" (2018), "I Thàlassa Mas" (2019), "Preview" (2020), "My Standards" (2022), his new single “A Song for Peace”and his latest work “Romantique Duniya” (2024). He had the opportunity to play with the great masters of Jazz such as Tony Monaco, Francisco Mela, Sasha Mashin, Shawnn Monteiro, Grace Kelly, Fabrizio Bosso, Flavio Boltro, Karl Potter, Steve Wickham, Crystal White, Gegè Telesforo, Maurizio Giammarco, Rosario Giuliani, Gabriele Coen, Pippo Matino, Giovanni Imparato and many others. His compositions have gone through numerous styles to arrive today at a completely original and characterizing production. Like all artists he does not like to be identified with a specific genre but, if we wanted to find a place for him we could include him in a peculiar "Jazz Crossover”. His vocation is clearly experimentation, from East to West, without borders. Because Francesco Mascio absorbs every experience, lived and observed, and transforms it into a profound suggestion that, through music, he shares with the rest of the world.
