Composer, Arranger, orchestrator and pianist, Gianfranco Barbera begins young the study of the piano and the composition and, to alone fourteen years, as pianist exhibits himself as jazz-fusion player in many Italian clubs. He has received numerous national and international prizes among which: medaglia d’oro nella “Olimpiade internazionale di musica e spettacoloâ€ﾝ, Abano(PD) 1989; Premio concorso nazionale “Amadeusâ€ﾝ categoria: pianoforte solista, Taranto 1997; Premio concorso nazionale di Musica “Premio Città di Brindisiâ€ﾝ sezione: pianoforte solista, Brindisi 1997. After having brightly finished the studies near the Conservatory of music \"N. Piccinni\" of Bari has improved with musicians of international fame in Italy and in France. In 1998 the Master he has achieved of Music in \"Interpretation jazz\" under the guide of the great musician Kenny Wheeler. In July 2001 the famous magazine \"Plain Time\" he has defined him \"new young talent \" devoting him an ample critique; he has received numerous recognitions from the criticism and as many critiques on daily national (Repubblica, Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno ecc…). He develops to regulate activity of concerts in USA, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Canada, Great Britain, Japan and Australia.
