Musician and composer from Cagliari, he began his career as a musician at a young age as a drummer and then after a few years he began studying tenor sax as a self-taught person in 1988. In the early nineties he began to devote himself more specifically to the study of jazz improvisation, playing with various Sardinian musicians. In the following years he also dedicated himself to the study of soprano sax, taking an interest in new musical genres, new age and electronic music, also dedicating himself to the use of computers and synthesizers and in particular to an electronic wind controller instrument called Ewi, as well as to the arrangement and composition of their songs. Since 2000 Marcello Carro has also started playing the alto sax and continues to work in very different musical fields, from jazz to pop to funk to ethnic music.
